V.M. Ybor Homes, History, and Hidden Gems Tour

 Do you love V.M. Ybor's eclectic character and rich history? Share your home and help tell the story of one of Tampa's most distinctive neighborhoods.

 Participating homeowners welcome guests on Sunday, November 22nd, from 12:00–4:00 PM and are invited to attend a pre-tour reception on Friday November 20th for general information and to meet other participating owners. Volunteers will be available to help greet visitors, manage guest flow, and answer general questions throughout the tour. 

Your home doesn't have to be perfect. Restored, renovated, brand new, or still a work in progress, every home has a story to tell. Visitors enjoy seeing authentic homes and learning about the people who have helped shape our neighborhood.

Finally, we'll also work with you to prepare a short description of your home's history and unique features for the official tour booklet. If you'd like, we can even help research its history.

  The Home Tour takes dozens of volunteers to bring to life, and we'd love your help! Whether you can volunteer for a few hours on tour day or assist with planning in the weeks leading up to the event, your time and talents make a meaningful difference.

Volunteer opportunities include serving as a home docent, assisting with registration and ticket sales, helping guests navigate the tour, providing hospitality, supporting event set-up and breakdown at the registration site, photographing the event, researching neighborhood history, or serving on the planning committee. 

No matter your experience or availability, there's a role for everyone who wants to help showcase the unique history and character of V.M. Ybor.
